Signage & Painting Program Update
New exterior signage at all of the Lancaster Parking Authority (LPA) garages is now complete. Interior signs have been installed at the Penn Square and Prince Street garages. The LPA’s goal is to complete the signage upgrades to the Water Street and Duke Street garages
in June.
Painted graphics are also being added throughout all LPA facilities to help color code floors. Graphics work on the remaining LPA facilities will continue through the summer. The LPA is also investing in painting all of the stairwells at the Penn Square garage; painting the lobby on Duke Street and the front of the building on Duke and Vine Streets.

The Prince Street Helix Lighting Project
New color LED floodlights have been installed on the signature
helix of the Prince Street garage, illuminating the helix in a
range of colors. These lighting units will be programmed for
various holidays, special occasions and a variety of awareness
weeks. Partial funding comes from a PA Department of Community & Economic Development grant along with Lancaster Investment in a Vibrant Economy (LIVE).
Additionally, the current overhead lights that shine down on the ramps have been replaced with theater lighting (approximately 85 new light fixtures), that illuminates
the curb line and road surfaces.
