Overview

The Lancaster Parking Authority uses License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology at its parking garages and parking lots to provide permit holders with a faster, more convenient parking experience.

The LPR system automatically recognizes registered vehicle license plates when entering and exiting the facility, reducing reliance on physical credentials and streamlining access.

Throughout this document, the term “facility” refers to any Lancaster Parking Authority parking garage or parking lot participating in the permit parking program.

In addition to a faster, more convenient parking experience, the new system offers online account management through the Parking Services Portal.

• Individual permit holders can log in to update account information, manage vehicles, and access parking credentials.
• If your permit is managed through an employer, organization, or other group account, please contact your permit administrator or email the Lancaster Parking Authority at office@lancasterparkingauthority.com for assistance.

Important: License Plate Recognition only works for vehicles registered to your parking account. Customers are responsible for keeping vehicle information current. Please ensure your license plate number is accurate in the Parking Services Portal before using the facility.

Customers should maintain access to a secondary credential in the event a license plate cannot be read by the system. Depending on your account setup, your secondary credential may be a QR Code or a white access card.
